Bees will build their nests near homes, in storage sheds or garages. Through small openings, cracks and crevices, they seek out protected areas that provide enough room to build a nest.  Wasps and yellow jackets live in large nests located underground in abandoned animal burrows or in sheltered areas in tree branches or in cavities under eaves, in attics, garages or in wall voids.

The stings of wasps, bees and yellow jackets can affect people differently, from localized swelling and burning to life threatening allergic reactions. Therefore, it is never recommended to attempt to seal a hole that you see stinging insects entering or removing a nest.
